Home-Based Program

  • Three separate programs are offered to provide assistance and opportunities for families in crisis:
  • Family-Centered Casework Service assists families where an incident of abuse or neglect has occurred.
  • Intensive Family Preservation Service engages family, takes action to prevent removal of children, increases safety, and improves family functioning.
  • Intensive Family Reunification Service helps families in the reunification process. It is a short-term, intensive crisis intervention after removed children have been returned to their homes.

 HOMEBUILDERS PROGRAM

Whitingtons Homebuilders Intensive Family Preservation and

Intensive Family Reunification Services provides therapeutic social services and

training to families in the home.

The goal of Homebuilders Intensive Family Preservation is to remove the

risk of harm to the child instead of removing the child from the

home.  These services are also available for pre-adoption and post-

adoption services for adoptive families at risk or in crisis.

The goal of Homebuilders Intensive Reunification is to establish a safe and

viable permanency plan for children who are being reunified with

their biological family of origin after a period of out-of-home

placement.

The services will give families the chance to learn new

behaviors, and help them make better choices for their children.
