The purpose of supervised visitations is to enable an ongoing relationship between the parent and child by impartially observing their contact in a safe and structured environment.

Another purpose of supervised visitations is to allow a safe and educational learning experience for the parent. All supervised visitation services begins with an assessment and treatment plan developed with the family that identifies the child-specific needs to be addressed and an understanding of how those needs relate to the safety concerns that brought the child into care. Case Managers and Therapists work with the families to address fears, barriers, and parenting issues.
